June 11 2013: Live remote recording with Wendy Webb. Those new Universal Audio pre-amps really captured the Steinway grand piano... not to mention Wendy's great vocals to boot! With Danny Morgan.

June 6 2013: Recorded some musical cues and themes for a film based in Panama with Jeff Key and Ernesto Lasso de la Vega

May 8 2013: Mickey Raphael (Willie Nelson's harp player ) was in this week cutting on a Henry Gross tune. Great player who really listens and puts in just the right parts!

Feb 2013: Art and Soul Live cd is released...reportedly selling like hot 'n cakes!

Jan 2013: Marty Stokes and Captiva Band latest cd "Your Man" is mastered and ready to go. This project was started about a year earlier and it's going to be a little more aggressive then the first 2010 release...more guitar driven.

Jan 2012: Gema Pearl is released /produced with Lee Brovitz. Work ongoing on a second release already. Bluesy Texas rock.

Nov 2012: Last Gasp revamp: added new Universal Audio 4-710D pre amps , UAD quad card with plug-in bundle: Teletronix, UA, Pultec, etc ...some of the stuff in plug-in form that I remember in big studios from my 1980's days of recording in L.A. and Miami. They all sound great. Also re-did the entire rack set-up, adding larger video monitoring.

Summer-Fall 2012: Captiva Band and Gema Pearl comprising a lot of my sessions. Both have a goal of a finished cd by the end of the year.

May 2012: Comedy alert: Red Bovine cuts a couple new tracks...seems he's off his game, and will try some other tunes later this year. How do you master for this guy? He wants everything released on 8-track!

October 2011:Marc Vee has released the smooth jazz cd retitled "My Journey". Marc and I completed mixing and mastering this new project in August. This features Marc's great jazz chops on guitar, plus contributions by his band members: Mark Siracusa: drums and percussion; Matt Baxley (aka Moot Booxle): keyboards and horns; Stew Melcher: bass, and Yours Truly: horns and occasional keys.

September 2011: two tracks on a Kiss remake compilation with Lee Brovitz / Gema Pearl.

August 2011: cutting steel pan and sax o-dubs for Minneapolis- based Vince Maxey's latest effort "Soul and Seduction". We worked together a lot back in the Atlanta years, including the 2002 "Ankorage" cd (re-released in 2009 GAMN Records).

Mar 22, 2011: After a month of problems...Last Gasp is gasping again!

Mar 2011: Henry Gross is now releasing two new cds simultaneously; these tunes are the culmination of the last 2 years of our work together:  "Rhymes & Misdemeanors"  and  "Right as Rain" .... each cd packed with 20 great songs ! Also, a remastered re-release of our 2006 cd "One Hit Wanderer" is on the way.

Dec 2010: Danny Morgan cuts a snappy version of a Mike Reid tune for the new cd.

Nov 2010: just finished engineering / performing on a full length theatrical release movie soundtrack score with Marc Vee here at Last Gasp; look for  "If You Only Knew" soon. Also work continues on marc's new cd

Fall 2010: Red Bovine started out as a silly video that I posted on You Tube in. It's a mock promo for a new "Bowin' Up On Hip Hop" cd of hip-hop classics re-done as country.  Video is here: RED BOVINE: BOWIN' UP ON HIP HOP . Also , look for Red's new release "Somebody's Losin' A Trailer" soon.
